English as a Second Language

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides English learners with the language skills needed to:

  • Support the academic achievement of their K-12 children

  • Find and improve employment

  • Succeed in college and career training programs

  • Become United States citizens

  • Participate more fully in their communities

 

ESL classes give English learners opportunities to study and practice English language communications skills, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking. Competency-based courses span seven levels ranging from basic literacy to advanced English language development.   

The following ESL levels are offered:

  • Beginning Literacy/a & b

  • Beginning Low/a & b

  • Beginning High/a & b

  • Intermediate Low/a & b

  • Intermediate High A

  • Intermediate High B

  • Advanced Low

ESL Distance Learning (DL)

 

Home Study ESL for All Levels

ESL Distance Learning helps students learn English at home with videos. There is a fully refundable deposit for videos. Workbook must be purchased.

Citizenship

 

This citizenship course gives students an understanding of the naturalization process. Topics include the rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship, U.S. History and Government, the N-400 application, language skills, and interviewing skills needed to pass the U.S. Citizenship exam.
