English as a Second Language Courses

Summer Courses: July 6 - July 31
Thank you for your interest in taking ESL classes at EVANS. Classes continue online during the summer!​
New and returning students, please follow these steps to register:
Step 1: Online enrollment
Fill out an online application.
Click here.

Step 2: Interview and registration
An EVANS ESL counselor will contact you at the phone number provided in your online application to:
  • Review your online application
  • Complete an ESL interview over the phone
  • Schedule your ESL class
Step 3: Activate school email account (SSO)
After completing your registration, activate your student email account.

Class Schedule

July 6 - July 31

Monday to Friday

8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Teachers will provide lessons via Zoom or Schoology as well as assign students offline activities. Most classes include one hour of online lessons on Zoom or Schoology, homework activities, and teacher hours for assginment correction.

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides English learners with the language skills needed to:

  • Support the academic achievement of their K-12 children

  • Find and improve employment opportunities

  • Succeed in college and career training programs

  • Become United States citizens

  • Participate more fully in their communities


ESL classes give English learners opportunities to study and practice English language communications skills, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking. Competency-based courses span seven levels ranging from beginning to advanced English language development.
