Both the hearing impaired and caregivers alike may enroll in Communication Skills/Sign Language. Most Students are recent immigrants; therefore, lessons are based on ESL curriculum. The unique features of the class are the emphases on the culture of deafness, learning, and discussion of current research and information on this disability. Participation in field trips, such as to "Deaf Expo Sporting Events" enriches the students and gives them confidence to explore more of their community. Registration is available on an open-entry-open-exit basis in Counseling Office (Room 102). Enrollment Cost: FREE! |
