Mission
We are a community adult school dedicated to quality programs designed both for learners with limited English skills and native English speakers from diverse cultural backgrounds. We prepare students for success in today's complex world through instruction focused on communication skills, high school diploma and/or GED certificate acquisition, productive citizenship and technological proficiency.

Philosophy
Because we believe that education is growth, and growth is change and change is the process by which the future invades our lives, Evans Community Adult School is committed to developing, implementing evaluating, and maintaining quality education programs throughout the community where:

  1. Non-English-speaking adults can acquire the communication skills necessary to become functional, self sufficient and contributing participants in American Society.
  2. Adults can become employable or can upgrade skills in their present occupations.
  3. Adults can obtain educational experiences which promote effective human relations and multi cultural understanding and awareness.
  4. Adults are encouraged and assisted in their personal growth and academic advancement.
  5. Adults can plan for and select those educational experiences which will help them to achieve a meaningful and satisfying life.
